Colour woodblock diptych print, oban tate-e. The kabuki actor arashi kichisaburo as enya hangan takasada (left) being restrained by his retainers after his attack on ichikawa kuzo as ko no moronao (right), who holds his hand to his forehead as he is supported by two attendants; act 3 of the play 'kanadehon chushingura', performed at the ichimura theatre in the second month, kaei 5 (1852).
