Attributed to thomas worlidge portrait of elizabeth barry, countess of barrymore (d. 1714), his wife, with their eldest daughter lady penelope barrymore both oil on canvas elizabeth barry (d. 1714) was the daughter and heir of richard savage, 4th earl rivers c. 1660-1712) and his wife penelope downes. In 1706 she married, as his second wife lieutenant-general james barry, 4th earl of barrymore. The couple had three children, the eldest of which, lady penelope barry can be seen in the present picture. Elizabeth died in childbirth in 1714. Date: circa 1710.
