External view of the nobility diploma of franz joseph i (emperor of austria 1848-1916) for the retired titular lieutenant colonel rudolph [edlen von] hampel (born 1814 in olomouc), after 40 years of service as an officer. Issued in vienna, december 26, 1876, with the emperor's own signature, countersignature by interior minister joseph freiherr lasser von zollheim. Parchment spirit level, 4 sheets (= 8 pages), multi-colored calligraphy, partly heightened with gold, partly lithographically printed border, colored coat of arms signed carl boess. Violet velvet cover with gold-embossed double-headed eagle, silk moiré endpapers, attached imperial seal made of red wax in a metal capsule. Date: 1876.
