Edgar stirling auchincloss and hugh dudley auchincloss' 70 footer sloop katrina (archibald cary smith design, 1888), built of steel at the piepgras shipyard, city island. She is pictured here in the nyyc's annual cruise, leg from new-london to newport, in which she earned a second place in her class on august 10th, 1888.
