Kálmán szily the elder of nagy-szigethi (izsák, june 29, 1838 – budapest, july 24, 1924) was a physicist, linguist, university teacher, scientific organizer, secretary general of the academy, then chief librarian. From 1880 to 1898, he was the president of the royal hungarian society of natural sciences. Date: 1889.
