The lorraine attempts to restore the painting by polygnotus which decorated the lesche of delphi, according to the ekphrasis of pausanias (phociques, that is to say book x of the description of greece, chapter 25-27). Oval stamp in black at the bottom right: “bibliotheque de nancy”. On the reverse, in black ink, circular stamp: "nancy public library / thiery-solet fonds". Object Type: print. Date: 1757.
