Portal decorated with sculpted decorations: pediment with allegorical figures, stonework, leaves with four compartments decorated with masks, cherubs, lions, jellyfish and the amelot figure (partly sculpted by regnaudin), paved courtyard, attic, dormer windows, street, harnessed horse, women, gas street lamp historical commentary: built on a former 14th century hotel, this building was remodeled from 1657 to 1660 by the architect pierre cottard and equipped with a new entrance on rue vieille-du-temple. In 1778, caron de beaumarchais, tenant until 1888, wrote "the marriage of figaro". Classified as a historic monument, this private property now houses the paul-louis weiller foundation.
