Se-tenant of the republic of burundi (first republic); 1968; se-tenant with a commemorative airmail stamp of the issue to the "christmas 1968"; issue of 8 stamps + 8 se-tenants à 2 different fields (under it with one decorative text side field without nominal value) + 4 blocks à 4 different stamps (perforated, imperforate)); stamps without overprint; the depicted se-tenant is bdi michel: no. 463azf from 1968. The stamp shows as motive a detail of the painting „christi geburt“ or „la nativité“ by federico baroccio (also „barocci“ or „fiori da urbino“) (ca. 1535-1612); federico baroccio created this artwork in 1597 in the style of the mannerism with baroque elements (= transition of the mannerism to the baroque) and is contemporary located in the „museo del prado“ in madrid (spain).;unfortunately this stamp was postmarked in usumbura with an cto with unreadable date.
