Moses brought before pharoah's daughter; moses as a small boy, looking fearfully at the lady, reclining on a dais to left, smiling with open arms, while he clings to the sash of a his wet nurse, who looks back at him sadly, as she is paid by a bearded official; with two servants talking behind the lady's chair, an incense burner, statuette and miniature imagined version of a crocodile beside her seat; in the background, a view with pyramids, sphinx and other buildings; lettered state before quotation from warton added. 1752 etching and engraving.
