The danish soprano beatrice diderichsen (1859-1890) had a short, but promising career, before dying in an accident near copenhagen. In 1887 krøyer painted this portrait and also featured her in the painting en duet (a duet) where she performed with her colleague vilhelm rosenstand. H. C. Christensen, who made a list of krøyer's paintings, spelled her surname dietrichsen, but that was not correct. Object Type: painting. Genre: portrait. Date: 1887.
