Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 237, 21 June 1917

237. Cross - tombstone, in the nave of the church "st. Prophet elijah" in the town of svishtov. It is made of white, fine-grained limestone. Four-winged; with trapezoidal wings; the side ones are the smallest, the lower one is the largest and is driven into the ground without a plinth. On the face of the upper wing, a cross is carved in a circle, bordering a carved ring; the middle of this cross is round, and from it outwards, the wings slightly expand to the ring and end (in the ring) with reliefs triangles. The monograms of christ are engraved between the wings. Under the cross is an inscription with the date 1234. Dimensions: 72x45x14 cm. Sketched on 21. Vi. 1917. Date: 21 June 1917.
