Drawing, sketch-book, Amico Aspertini, between 1532 and 1535

Aspertini sketch-book (so-called london i): 12th opening left (1898,1123. 3(12) verso) and right-hand page (1898,1123. 3(13) recto) with men on horseback hunting bulls followed by ox cart (upper part of opening) and fighting centaurs (lower part of opening) c. 1535 pen and brown ink, grey wash, some touches of white heightening, over black chalk, on vellum prepared with a grey wash. Date: between 1532 and 1535. Dimensions: Height: 248 mm; Width: 184 mm (each page). Medium: wool. Collection: British Museum. Drawing, sketch-book (BM 1898,1123.3.12)
