Painting titled “jewess of tangier in festive costume” by french painter auguste delacroix (1821–1879). The woman wears a moroccan caftan, worn over a sadriya in khanjar embroidery, typical of the city of tangier and tetouan. The woman is embellished with a long veil, made of silk, called "izar del-harir" in colored bands which constitutes a heritage of the city of tangier. Date: 1834.
