Ceiling painting in the porcelain chamber, caputh castle, ceiling decorations with bold stucco acanthus foliage. Borussia, the personification of brandenburg-prussia, enthroned on clouds, has attributes of power, wealth and the arts at her feet. The african woman at borussia's side refers to brandenburg's colonial possessions in ghana. Numerous porcelain vessels, faithfully reproduced in detail, refer to the original function of the room. In the corners, a total of four large, illusionistically painted blue and white faience vases are depicted. The side panels are filled with allegories of the seasons. Object Type: ceiling painting.
