Full-page advertisement designed by the artist änne koken as a counterpart to the opposite page of the vosswerke, founded by august voss in 1844. After the oscar winter ironmongery wholesaler, founded in hanover in 1796, merged with the sarstedt company in 1908, this newspaper advertisement advertises the "germania ofen- und herdfabrik winter & co. " and provides the following information under a stylized “sample warehouse” with various oven models and a view into an adjoining room with cooking machines lined up: “winter's continuous burning ovens / patent germanen u meteor / germania u meteor / gas appliances / over 750,000 of these / ovens in use. ” the sheet, printed in two colors in almost din a3 format as part of a double page with the oskar winter company, comes from the illustrirten zeitung no. 3538 of april 20, 1911. The sheet, later scanned at 600dpi, is part of the newspaper purchased for documentation purposes on december 8, 2014 and was donated on the morning of the following day to the gottfried wilhelm leibniz library - lower saxony state library, for the attention of director georg ruppelt. However, thanks to the friends of hanover, the scan was carried out later in the wikipedia office in hanover, after the newspaper's rusting staples had been carefully removed so that the newspaper could be placed flat on the scanner.
