The lyceum and the higher secondary school (later: kaiser-wilhelm- and ratsgymnasium) built in 1854 on georgsplatz in hanover, based on a model by the art teacher wilhelm kretschmer, printed as a lithograph by leopold kraatz in berlin, probably heavily colored by a child's hand and sold by hermann oppermann's publishing house in hanover. The original can be found on a larger sheet (here an electronically produced excerpt, with minimal color changes, specially for illustration in wikipedia) measuring 18 cm x 23. 3 cm in the jever castle museum and has been made available to the public via the lower saxony cultural heritage portal. Date: circa 1854.
