In addition to the limes, in the foreground, you can see on a white earthenware plate a half-open candy box on which a butterfly flutters (a mixture of "lemon tree", gonepteryx rhamni l. , and "common colia", colias crocea geoff). On the right, on a pewter fountain, a glazed bowl of mexican earthenware, of the atamía morphological type, with simple vegetal and linear decoration (spirals) typical of the talavera of puebla. In front, on the right, a small daggerboard glazed in its upper third or 'bib' and covered with a cloth and a rope twine; which, due to its size and the fact that it is covered, probably contains honey to sweeten the lime compote. The prado museum file gives a different description: in the foreground some files. . , behind them a honey jar, with green glaze, like those of biar or lucena. . Lastly, there is an open jelly box on a castanet plate, and a silver or pewter footed salve on which rests a mexican ceramic cup of the tonalá type. The butterfly that flies over the complex is interesting for its rarity. Object Type: painting. Date: Tercer cuarto del siglo XVIII / third quarter of the 18th century..
