Handle of ewer consists of a swan rising from the lap of mermaid. Two putti support a shell which serves as spout. A girl, a child, and rope-like festoons decorate the upper register of the ewer. Fluted lower portion on an acanthus leaf base; verso: design for coffee pot. Date: 1765. Dimensions: 25.5 x 15.2 cm (10 1/16 in. x 6 in.).
