Field post letters from hans koch, vienna, world war ii, eastern front, 1922-1945 previous letter (1943-01-28) letter no. 128 (1943-02-04) next letter (1943-02-09) east d. 4. Ii. 43. My beloved mother! i want to send you my heartfelt greetings again and thank you for your air field post letter. It reached me in this finnish tent. I couldn't reply straight away as we've moved again. Now we're back in nice, sturdy bunkers deep in the ground. We almost have proper beds there. They're slats covered with wire and it's very comfortable to sleep on. We didn't get much sleep at first, but it will probably get better now. I, as a [???] dispatcher, have an advantage here in particular. I [don't have to stand guard!]. Date: 4 February 1943.
