No. 2 of a series. A fat parson (left), with a large grotesque head, and grog-blossom nose, stands in profile to the right, hands raised, addressing a countryman seated at a small table smoking, holding a tankard of ale. He says "o thou abominable sot! alway tippling from morning till night. " the man answers: "ah - thee mayst preach away measter parson - but i shanna forget the tythe pig for all that! d------e i beant affraid of thee now. " cf. Bmsat 9681. 1799 hand-coloured etching.
