Porcelain Towers, Pinckney Marcius-Simons

An impressionist painting that depicts a long river extending from the foreground to the background. There are many sailboats with colorful blue, red, and yellow sails on the river, but many of the sails are torn upon close inspection. There are three pagoda-like stacked towers on one side of the river. There is light eminating from the center background of the painting with brilliant rays of yellow and gold exploding from the light source. The sky is a soft combination of pastel blue and gree. The river water is dark blue and black, with streaks of white. Some of the sunlight reflects on the water in the center of the painting. "porcelain towers" by p.
