Plate 9: an underground drinking den where idle shows his stolen goods to his one-eyed accomplice (see plate 3) unaware that behind him his companion from the garret bedroom (see plate 7) is pointing him out to the magistrate and constables; in the background a brawl is taking place and, to right, the body of a man is pushed through a trapdoor. 1747 etching and engraving.
