Arturo Prat - LFR, Luis Fernando Rojas, 1904

Agustín arturo prat chacón (hacienda san agustín de puñual, ninhue, chile, april 3, 1848 - iquique, may 21, 1879) was a chilean sailor, soldier and lawyer. He is considered in chile as its greatest naval hero. Son of agustín prat del barril and rosario chacón barrios. 1 during the war against spain (1865-1871), he participated in several important naval battles, including the battle of papudo in 1865, in which the schooner covadonga was captured. During the pacific war, he commanded the esmeralda in the naval battle of iquique, in which he died. Date: 1904.
