The food is still impeccable. Yesterday there were also special packages for "front-line fighters in major combat" which are great with cigarettes, chocolate, crackers and drobs. As you can see, we are not starving. Otherwise i feel fine too and there is no reason to worry! the weather is still quite good but it does freeze at night. I have now received thick gloves too. So, my mum, don't worry, everything is fine! please give my regards to everyone at home. Warm greetings and kisses from your hansl. Attached is a small picture of your lovely holiday! Date: 29 October 1943.
