In the photo we see second lieutenant tadeusz grabowski during his service in the polish legions in cavalry units. After poland regained independence, he joined the polish army. He participated in the polish-bolshevik war and later commanded, among others, 9th mounted rifle regiment. Murdered in kharkov in 1940. The photograph was taken in volhynia, most likely in the spring of 1916. Date: 1916.
