The belgrade fair was built based on the decision of the belgrade municipality in 1936. The first phase of work began in the spring of 1937, and was completed by the time of the opening in september 1937. The second phase, in which the turkish and large german pavilions were built, was completed in 1938. The construction of the sixth yugoslav pavilion was also planned, but the works were suspended due to the outbreak of world war ii. War.
