The third craftsman, with his foot on the cross of the intaglio press, activates it in order to pass the plate from one side of the pressure cylinder to the other. At the back of the workshop, on stretched ropes, freshly printed proofs dry. Three proofs of a crucifix, left, and one proof of a holy family.
