A standard (oblong) grey lacquer three case inro. On one side a snow-covered "yabukoji" in "hiramakie" in gold with berries in applied carnelain on a grey lacquer round. On the other side a pine branch with a pine cone in gold. Inscribed in gold near the pine tree and a red seal. Inscribed on the bottom of the lower case with the inro artist's name. The interior of red lacquer and "fundame. " the cord channels are external. Together with a carved ivory netsuke seal of a "shishi" on a ball all on a rectangular platform. Date: late 18th century (Edo). Place of creation: Edo (present-day Tokyo, Japan). Dimensions: inro: 7.4 × 5.6 × 2.2 cm (2.9 × 2.2 × 0.8 in). Medium: gold, ivory, lacquer.
