Van gogh was an admirer of the work of landscape painter charles-françois daubigny (1817-1878), who had lived in auvers-sur-oise. Daubigny was born in paris and moved to auvers circa 1860. When van gogh came to auvers in 1890 he painted daubigny's garden three times. The garden and house-workshop of daubigny is situated on 61 rue daubigny, 95430 auvers-sur-oise. Reference
