As quoted in the smithsonian article regarding the two printed words shown: "the scrap of paper discovered in a concealed pocket in the dead man's trousers. 'tamám shud' is a persian phrase; it means 'it is ended. ' the words had been torn from a rare new zealand edition of the rubaiyat of omar khayyam. " [dating to the 12th century].
