Bust-length nude figure of a girl, facing the spectator. Her arms are upraised, in the act of arranging her hair. Signed and inscribed in pencil, lower right: "e. Vedder study / for venus (ceiling detail). " (refers to collis p. Huntington ceiling, commissioned aug. 1892, finished by sept 1893, now at yale). Date: circa 1885.
