An italian engraving, c. 1465, showing the roman god saturn devouring one of his children and holding a scythe (his attribute) decorated with a dragon biting its tail (a symbol of eternity), with four children at his feet; inscribed at lower left, 'a', at lower centre, 'satvrno xxxxvii', at lower right, '47'; encircled by a frame of diamonds; from the 'e series' of the 'tarocchi cards of mantegna', the set illustrating the 'firmaments of the universe'.
