Apparition of the virgin to saint francis. This is how the painting looked before being horribly mutilated after the theft in 1976. Cut into pieces by the thieves, the only part recovered was the one with the virgin mary (the color part of the photo). The surviving fragment is now found in the municipality of sezze. Date: 1608.
