It was located in this part of the faubourg saint-antoine crossed today by the lyon railway. The hotel consisted of four pavilions placed at each corner of the garden. It was also called reilly's garden, or rambouillet madness. The owner of this hotel was one of the farmer generals of the time. His son, rambouillet de la sablière, was an author of madrigals. The rambouillet garden was created around 1660, although we cannot indicate the date with certainty. Rambouillet was also called the hôtel des quatre-pavillons, because a pavilion had been built in each corner of the garden.
