My dear mum! greetings again from the bottom of my heart. I also received your lovely card with the address from the soldiers. How are you doing health-wise and at work? when you have free time, make the most of it, go for walks in nature so the dust gets out of your lungs. I'm doing well so far. I've been here in the 2nd company since yesterday and am doing my duty. We marched out yesterday and got back safely. Things really get going tomorrow. The food is the same as in the general company. Otherwise it's not bad. The weather here is still not great, how is it at home? what else is new in the 20s [villa?]. Date: 9 August 1942.
