At the tea table. The painting was painted in the estate of g. S. Tarnovsky kachanovka in the chernigov province. Voloskov depicted a room called the lantern, with gothic motifs in the decoration, fashionable for that time. Among the people sitting at the table on the left is the owner of the estate grigory stepanovich tarnovsky; leaning on the back of his chair stands vasily vasilyevich tarnovsky, a prominent public figure on the peasant issue, and at the table is his wife lyudmila vladimirovna. The girl in the white dress is yulia vasilyevna tarnovskaya, the object of the artist p. A. Fedotov's passion in the last years of his life. Date: 1851.
