The design for the candlestick is positioned at the center of the sheet. The shaft of the candle stick is composed of a winged female figure (the genius of peace) standing beside a gun barrel, positioned vertically, which supports the socket with a burning candle. The female figure has the right foot on a staff with a crescent. A ring of grenades support the base. Mount has monogram fr and gilt border. Date: circa 1800. Dimensions: 34.3 x 19.6 cm (13 1/2 x 7 11/16 in.); ; Mat (Mat): 55.9 x 40.6cm (22 x 16in.). Medium: brown wash, pen and black ink, watercolor on laid paper.
