Mrs. George Primrose, minstrel singer, 1918

This may be either esther nerney, second wife of minstrel singer george h. Primrose, or viola katherine trueblood, primrose's third wife. Nerney was known as a concert singer, and appeared under the name mrs. George primrose during their marriage. Esther and george were divorced in 1913, and george married his third wife, viola trueblood, in 1916. Viola was 31 while george was 62. Prior to and after george's death in 1919, a mrs george primrose, described as primrose's wife, toured with primrose's minstrels, appearing until at least 1929. Date: 1918.
