They are hung with curtains. The ceiling is vaulted.;the benches along this path are ". . Surrounded by a tombago balustrade with 62 statues of the same rich gold, silver adn copper alloy serving as candelabra. The elaborately carved choir is also enclosed by tombago railing weighing 26 tons, and valued at $1,500,000. " (ca. 1905)
