[last sunday she was here again] well, what did she bring with her even though i always say she shouldn’t: even her easter ration of schnapps was there, well, my friend herbert and i sat down with her and in no time she was gone. She wants to come back over whitsun and should send you her best wishes. Hopefully you’ll at least have the day off for whitsun?! have a good time and spend the holidays as best you can. I was unlucky this time, just imagine, my mother, i’m on guard at the barracks from 6 p. M. Tonight until 6 p. M. Tomorrow evening. Especially at whitsun. Now it's evening, all the comrades are going out and i'm sitting here with two other men. Well, this too will pass, then we'll do it and have a really nice time.
