The french corvette l'enfant prodigue has been struck with yellow fever after a visit to saint-domingue (haiti) and 200 sailors died on the ship during the crossing to france. A quarantine has been imposed. The french blame te americans for the disease in saint-domingue. Date: 7 December 1799.
