She was a daughter of friedrich, markgrave of brandenburg-bayreuth and wilhelmine, princess of prussia. In 1748 she married karl ii eugen, duke of wuerttemberg and divorced in 1754 (click here). A very similar miniature portrait of her (painted by the same artist!) belongs to the collection of the royal house of orange-nassau (see our additional image with clip from the catalogue of this collection). Similarly as the work in collection of orange-nassau, our miniature is attributed to german 18th-century artist - laurentius von sandrart (also see our web # 28642). Laurentius (lorenz) von sandrart was born ca. 1682 in nuremberg and died in 1753 in stuttgart. In 1710 he was appointed a royal court artist in berlin; served as an inspector (director) of stuttgart gallery between 1729 and 1735.
