Conde Ansúrez y Eylo Círculo de Recreo, Eugenio Oliva Rodrigo, 1901

Mural by eugenio oliva painted in the ballroom of the círculo de recreo in valladolid, representing count pedro ansúrez, his wife doña eylo and other characters planning the construction of the collegiate church of santa maría, from the city's missing fortress. From the balcony you can see the banks of the pisuerga and the puente mayor in its hilled medieval configuration. Two banners hang, one with the checkered shield of the banu gómez and another with the first seal of valladolid. Date: 1901.
