Painting by john lavery, oil on canvas titled "jasmin (aïda)", dated 1900. Jasmine (aïda) is a female character painted several times by the painter, it was in the city of fez, morocco that the painter painted jasmin (aïda) from behind, in the same ceremonial costume[2]. Jasmin is here painted in profile, in her pink moroccan caftan, the chmar on the shoulders, the silk sebnia on the head and the traditional forehead jewelry. Date: 1900.
