"return from kronsberg" is the title of the oil painting created in 1853 by the painter eduard frederich. It shows the guelph family, which ruled at the time of the kingdom of hanover, i. E. King george v and his wife queen marie of hanover in an open carriage, after they had just crossed the wooden footbridge over the leine west of the mouth of the fösse. In the background of the picture you can see the old line of the post road from hanover to wunstorf - the later wunstorfer straße - behind it the lindener berg (left) and the deister. While the group of buildings in the middle ground of the picture marks the area where the fösse flows into the leine, on the right on the raised river bank you can see the former mill of the village of limmer. The 64. 5 x 90. 5 cm oil painting was exhibited in the fürstenhaus herrenhausen museum in 1965 and was released for print reproduction with the permission of ernst august of hanover. Date: 1853.
