The monument to the sacred heart of jesus in poznań. The monument was erected between 1930-1932 to lucjan michałowski's design, with the central figure of christ by sculptor marcin rożek and medallions and reliefs by marcin rożek and kazimiera pajzderska, as a votive for regained independence of poland. That is why it was also known as the monument of gratitude. The monument was deliberately destroyed by the germans in 1939. [1]. Date: before 1939.
