Portrait of nespellina and dondon on a gold-edged skin in blue. Depicted by david klöcker ehrenstrahl (1628-1698). The dogs are of the kontinentaler zwerspaniel phalène breed and they belonged to queen dowager hedvig eleonora. Dondon was later given to sister-in-law princess maria euphrosyne, married to count magnus gabriel de la gardie. It is probably about nespellina (espelina) that eric lindschöld has written a small farewell poem, "epitaphium over h. M:t the widowed queen's dog epelin who is buried in the garden at ulriksdahl".
