Walnut street looking east from third street toward the old cathedral. A few horses with buggies and people are on the street. A streetlamp stands on the street as well as a few commercial buildings. Finished in 1834, the basilica of st. Louis, king of france (the old cathedral) was designed by morton & laveille. At a cost of $63,000 to built, it was the most expensive structure in st.
