Plate 4 to woodward's 'eccentric excursions, or. Literary & pictorial sketches of countenance, character and country, in. . England & south wales'. Two oval designs on one pl. 'compartment ist' four men grouped round a table on which are punchbowl and glasses. One reads the 'sun' newspaper, the others smoke and listen intently. They have a lantern and a dog. 'compt 2 four men, closely grouped, playing ninepins (dutch-pins) at close range. 1796, this state 1813 etching. Date: 1796. Dimensions: Height: 253 mm; Width: 200 mm. Medium: paper.
