The work represents the crucifixion of the apostle saint andrew. Flanking the apostle and patiently observing his long agony are three soldiers, dressed in the characteristic outfits of this type of characters in many of correa's works. The two located on the left recall, due to their similar shapes and attitudes, although in different positions, the two represented on the left in the resurrection of christ from the cloister of the disappeared convent of san juan de la penitencia in toledo, considered the work of juan de borgoña and disciples, not earlier than 1530, the date on which correa was already incorporated into the master's workshop. The story is represented in front of a toledo brick building. In the background a landscape develops in depth, in which an expanse of water can be seen and in the distance, between mountains, various constructions with a circular plan, of classicist inspiration, very common in correa (text extracted from cortés hernández, s.;ocaña rodríguez, e.
